In honor of Local Government Week, please join us for an open house event. Visit the Township Building or the new Public Works garage to meet Township staff and learn more about what we do that impacts your day-to-day lives. Keep reading for more information about the games, exhibits, and hand-on activities that will be showcased!

Police Department - The West Whiteland Twp. Police would like to challenge you on your cornhole skills! You could win a prize and also enjoy a Cookie with a Cop!
Good Fellowship Ambulance - Tour an ambulance. Learn more about their services, as GFAC will be the Township's primary emergency services provider as of June 1, 2025.
Planning & Development - Did you ever wonder why things get built where they do? Or what influence the Township has? Learn how the process works! We’ll also have plans showing new projects that are on the way, including the Master Plan for the redevelopment of Exton Square!
Recreational Programming - Meet our recreation programming developer to see what's coming up (story hours, composting workshops, Earth Day celebration, craft fairs and more!) and share programming ideas for future events.
Parks - See the renderings for the new recreational area near Exton Park's multi-use fields at 200 Church Farm Lane. Improvements include new playgrounds, stage, parking, and trails. There are also plans for some additions at the Swedesford Rec Area, including pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts as well as a 12-ft. wide asphalt trail connector from Swedesford Road to the Chester Valley Trail.
Codes (Permits & Inspections) - Learn more about the importance of residential sprinklers and how the systems work. Thinking of a new construction project and wondering if it needs a permit? This is the perfect time to get your questions answered and meet our friendly codes staff.
Finance - Staff are excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at their operations and procedures. Meet the team members who keep things running smoothly and gain valuable insights into key processes such as utility billing, tax distribution, and budget development. It’s an informative opportunity to better understand how the department manages the Township’s finances.
Administration - Learn more about opportunities to volunteer for the Township’s boards and commissions. Find out about the Township’s projects and goals.
Survey Responses - See what the community asked for in the recent public survey conducted to gather feedback for the Township's Comprehensive Plan update. Thank you to the nearly 2,000 people that responded to the survey.
Public Works Garage - Tour the brand new 39,000 sq. foot facility that houses operations for the Public Works department.
Public Meeting - See your local government in action! Stormwater Task Force meeting at 5:00 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room on the second floor of the Township Building.
