On August 23, 6:30 p.m., the Board of Supervisors will consider the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to revise various definitions and amend the regulations for home occupations. This amendment was discussed at the August 9 meeting but was tabled to be re-discussed and voted upon at the August 23 meeting.
Essentially, the amendment to the ordinance creates three categories of home occupations:
- No impact home-based business
- Standard home occupation business
- Special home occupation business
and sets out specific requirements for each category. Additionally, it lists specific activities that are prohibited as home occupations and outlines the process for establishing a home occupation business.
