WWT Police Department reports that citizens are being contacted by scammers who are giving names of West Whiteland Township Police Department (WWPD) officers and administrators. For the most part, the scammers are demanding money in exchange for dropping a warrant.
Please be advised that WWPD will NEVER request money in exchange for dropping a warrant.
If you do feel that you are being scammed, even if you are speaking with an actual WWPD officer, please let the WWPD officer know of your suspicions. The WWPD officer will suggest that you contact a non-emergency phone number to verify with our dispatcher and you will be called back. If you live within West Whiteland Township, you can also request to have the WWPD officer respond to your residence.
