There will be monitored underground rock blasting occurring at 500 E. Lincoln Hwy, the current site of the Laborers Union Training Facility, for several weeks on an as-needed basis. Blasts will be pre-announced, with the first occurring the afternoon of June 9. Any future blasting will take place on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The blasting is in preparation for the construction of the Exton Walk project (formerly called Ship Run), the development of 95 single-family dwellings. The blasting will be conducted by a federally licensed contractor and strictly monitored by the State of PA. The blasting company will be notifying the Chester County Emergency radio as well as the Pipeline prior to each scheduled blast.
