On Friday, June 18th, another sinkhole opened along the pipeline bore path in Meadowbrook Manor. Energy Transfer filled the hole with grout. It did not expose operating pipelines and was not in the nearby wetlands. Therefore there was no action that state agencies could or would take to stop construction or to shut down operating pipelines. Boring to install the Mariner East pipelines resumed.
UPDATES:
- On Monday, June 21st, ET added grout to the sinkhole, filling in where the sinkhole had settled.
- On Tuesday, June 22nd, ET added a different type of grout to the sinkhole that would dry faster, after the rain, and allow boring to resume on Wednesday.
