[ARCHIVED] Halloween is Fast Approaching!

West Whiteland Township does not establish times for trick-or-treating.  Coordinate with your neighbors or homeowners’ association if you wish to set specific times for trick-or-treating on Halloween. The standard practice is to keep your front light on if you are giving out candy and to turn it off if you are not.

The CDC recommends modifying how trick-or-treating takes place or considering other activities to lower the risk of spreading COVID-19 while still giving kids the chance to have fun.  The Township urges residents who participate in trick-or-treating this year to follow the CDC recommendations.

For even more information, go to the Harvard Global Health Institute’s Halloween 2020 website.  They paired the CDC’s recommendations with mapping of COVID-19 cases by county to develop Halloween activities tailored to local risk.
