[ARCHIVED] Path Work on Route 100

Work on the multi-use path from Chester Valley Trail to Exton Train Station is under way! See a visual overview of the project.

Construction includes installing a multi-use paved path from the Exton Train Station on Walkertown Road to the Chester Valley Trail adjacent to Commerce Drive. The new multi-use path will accommodate both pedestrian and bicycle traffic.

Additionally, ADA compliant ramps, pedestrian lighting and traffic signal modifications will be constructed to serve pedestrians.

The path will be completed in two phases with phase 1 being from the Exton Train Station to Bartlett Ave and the second phase completing the link from Bartlett Ave to the Chester Valley Trail.

Concurrently, Chester County is making improvements to the Chester Valley Trail Crossing of Rt 100. The project will construct a new crosswalk which will allow trail users to cross Rt 100 via one crosswalk rather than the three crosswalks trail users currently must navigate.

The work is being performed under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit and requires daily lane closures on the southbound side within the work area. Please slow down and make the work area as safe as possible for the construction workers
