Camp dates are August 9-14, 2026.
Chester County Camp Cadet is a fun and unique, overnight summer camp for kids ages 11-14 who reside, or attend school in Chester County. Camp Cadet of Chester County was established 1971, as a way to promote good relations between police and young people.
The program provides kids with an understanding of law enforcement activities, as well as comfort with the professionals who serve their communities.
Cadets live in an atmosphere modeled after the State Police Academy, where emphasis is placed on improving self-discipline, confidence and self-esteem. During this action-packed week, Cadets will learn teamwork and the benefits of making good decisions as well as respect for authority and each other.
Troopers and other specially selected law enforcement professionals, both male and female, serve as counselors.
The program is offered exclusively to young people residing in Chester County, at no cost to their families.
To be eligible, cadets must be at least 11 and not yet 15 by the first day of camp. Cadets must live in, or go to school in Chester County. Selection to attend our camp is based on numerous factors and is at the discretion of the Camp Director.
