On Friday, 11/8, Energy Transfer (ET) plans to perform hydrotesting on the pipeline between their Boot Road pump station in W. Goshen and their Swedesford Junction in E. Whiteland. Hydrotesting uses water to test the pipeline's integrity and confirm maximum operating pressure (MOP) in accordance with regulatory standards. These tests are part of Energy Transfer's pipeline integrity and management plan and are conducted regularly. The operations team will purge the pipeline or any product, fill it with water, bring it up to pressure and hold for eight hours. Once the test is complete, they will remove any water from the pipeline and bring it back into regular operations. While ET does not expect any impact to residents, they may notice a pipeliner walking the right of way on Friday.
