A Message from the Commissioners

As Commissioners, we have the honor of formally recognizing Chester County residents who contribute to their community in meaningful ways. It is a privilege for us to do this, and we thank them for their efforts.
This month, we pay tribute to two groups of individuals whose contributions protect our community every day – our firefighters and our law enforcement officers. From May 3-5, the Chester County Historic Courthouse will be illuminated in red for International Firefighters Day and National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. And from May 13-19, the Historic Courthouse will be bathed in blue for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week and Peace Officer’s Memorial Day.
These displays are a gesture of our deep appreciation for all the firefighters and law enforcement officers who serve and have served in Chester County and of our remembrance and gratitude for those who have lost their lives in the line of duty to protect us. We cannot thank them enough for their service and sacrifice.
