With Mariner East pipeline construction completed in West Whiteland Township, our operations team is working to remove the strain gauges on the existing 8-inch and 12-inch pipelines. Crews have mobilized onto the worksite by way of Briar Road in Meadowbrook Manor. The are has been matted where needed and crews are excavating around the strain gauges in order to remove them. This work is expected to be completed next week. The strain gauges were voluntarily installed on our active 8-inch and 12-inch pipelines to detect any stress on the lines during construction at this site. Throughout construction and restoration, all readings remained within the acceptable parameters. The strain gauges were kept in place and continually monitored through the completion of post-construction geophysical surveys.
