Energy Transfer (ET) informed the Township that their contractor, Michels, and ET's operations' team will be mobilizing onto their permanent easement behind Lynetree Drive to begin removal of the strain gauges on their existing 8-inch pipeline beginning on May 24. From Lyntree, the crew will work their way to the easement behind Lisa Drive and remove those strain gauges as well. These strain gauges were put in place during the construction of the Mariner East pipeline project. The strain gauges are being removed now because ET has satisfied their agreement with the Bureau of Investigation and enforcement with the Pennsylvania's Public Utility Commission (PA PUC) and post installation geo physics have shown no issues. This work will take approximately 2 weeks to complete. The surrounding landowners have been notified by ET.
