Call for Volunteers: Master Watershed Steward Program
The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards of Chester and Delaware Counties is accepting applications for the spring 2020 training course. The training course will take place in southern Chester County each Tuesday evening from February 25th through May 19th, with four additional Saturday field trips.
The Master Watershed Stewards of Chester and Delaware Counties are volunteers who lead and participate in stream stewardship projects across the counties including: stream monitoring and restoration, public education presentations and workshops, riparian buffer and meadow plantings, and homeowner education at festivals. The training course covers multiple topics of water resource and environmental sciences to assist volunteers in understanding the fundamentals of watershed stewardship. Informational meetings will be held on the following dates:
- February 1st, 9:30-10:30AM at the Penn State Extension office; 601 Westtown Rd, Suite 370, West Chester, PA 19382
- February 4th, 6:00-7:00PM at the New Garden Township Building; 299 Starr Rd, Landenberg, PA 19350
