The PA Department of Environmental Protection issued a permit to Energy Transfer to address two exposed pipes in the stream near Shoen Road.
1) Grouted pipe: Energy Transfer has removed the capped and grouted pipe that is not in operation from the stream.
2) Pipeline to Icedale: Energy Transfer has laid a new pipe below the stream that will be connected to the pipeline that carries petroleum between Montello and Icedale. Work will continue to connect that pipe and remove the existing pipe from operation and out of the stream. The project is expected to be completed in September.
