West Whiteland Township has created a Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) to meet the requirements of its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) permit with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The PRP includes estimates of the existing pollutants that are discharged to streams within the Township and the reductions that are mandated by DEP. The plan also identifies proposed stormwater improvements needed to meet these pollutant reduction requirements. Possible funding sources and ongoing operation and maintenance responsibilities for the proposed stormwater improvements are included in the PRP.
A draft of the PRP is available for public inspection at the Township Municipal Building located at 101 Commerce Drive, Exton, PA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. The public review period began on October 31, 2017 and will continue until November 30, 2017. Comments must be submitted in writing to the address above (Attn: Ed Culp) or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and must include originator’s name and address. Comments can also be made during the public comment period at the November 8, 2017 and November 21, 2017 Board of Supervisors’ meetings, at the Township Building at 6:30 pm.
