Codes - Permits & Inspections

The West Whiteland Township Code Administration Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of all construction and life safety codes adopted by the Township including the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. This process includes reviewing all construction, zoning, drainage, fire prevention and use & occupancy permits for both residential and commercial properties as well as all other permits that may be required for a project. The Code Administration Department handles building, zoning and fire safety complaints. The department also conducts fire prevention inspections of non-residential properties, provides fire safety training as requested and conducts life safety inspections of rental properties within the Township in an effort to keep the residents and those that visit the township safe as they live, work, and play in West Whiteland Township.
